This is the most wonderful time of the year! October 31 feels like the unofficial start date of the holiday season. From Halloween to Black Friday to Cyber Monday and finally Christmas, there are sneakers for every occasion. And this December, we’ll deck the halls with a Yeezy Bred release! So if you’re not putting your festive hat on yet, you better get to it!
Remember back when Yeezys were the pair of kicks you HAD to own? That’s precisely when Yeezy Bred dropped and was actually the first Yeezy of 2017. The kicks featured a black Primeknit upper, midsole shell, and heel tab. However, white Boost cushioning still appears on the outsole. Finally, a dash of red appears on the upper thanks to the “SPLY-350” and the stitching on the heel tab. The Bred name naturally comes from a mix of black and red. The name became popular with the first Air Jordan release because it rocked the Bulls colors!
Yeezy Bred dropped on February 11, 2017, and retailed for $220. The same value that Kanye and the brand got us so used to. However, today, the kicks resell for an average of $1,200+! So if you still own a pair of the OG Yeezy Bred, now is a good time to flip!
Definitely. It’s never ever a bad idea to own a pair of black Yeezys. And this restock will be the first after the 2017 release. However, a restock of Yeezy Bred would probably cause a decrease in the resale value (depending on the stock number). Regardless, the kicks are definitely worth running NSB and rocking or flipping them! The restock will take place on December 5, 2020, and the Yeezy Bred will retail for the usual $220! So just in time, and maybe budget, for your holiday shopping!
If you miss out on the drop and don’t wanna pay a VERY high resale price, we got you. Here are some more affordable black Yeezys to mend your broken heart and satisfy your Yeezy-loving feet. Although you’re gonna be paying resale, you won’t have to break the bank for them!
Although still more expensive than other Yeezys, you can never have enough drip in your closet. This is the closest to Yeezy Bred you can get without actually paying $1,000+. The design is almost the same, minus the SPLY-350 stitching on the side, plus the see-through mesh side stripe. The kicks dropped in June 2019, and the currently resell for around $500!
One of the festive Yeezy drops of 2019, and the last ones that year. What we love about this release is that it’s lowkey colorful without being over the top! The Primeknit upper featured a mix of black, red, bluish grey, and pale yellow. The pair dropped back in December 2019, and it currently resells for an average of $350. It’s one of my personal favorites and if you don’t have it, now’s a good time to indulge in some Yeezy spending!
Well, this one is not exactly black, not very Grey, but we’ll let it slide because it’s cool as heck. Just like the name suggests, the pair features a cinder Primeknit upper and midsole. And it’s one of 2020’s cool releases, because who doesn’t like a tonal pair of Yeezys? Yeezy Cinder dropped in March 2020, and it’s available on the aftermarket for about $350 too!
One of the latest Yeezy 350s, which NSB totally nailed with 5.4K pairs copped. The black patchwork-like upper is a good alternative for Yeezy Bred. However, the action goes on in the midsole that comes in an off-white color! That gives the pair a pretty interesting contrast. In other words, you’ll draw the attention you want to your kicks without being tacky. And if you’re wondering how you can style it, here’s a guide you’ll find really helpful! The kicks dropped in October 2020, and currently resells for around $270! So that’s your most affordable (and awesome) alternative!
