Yeezy 700 V2 Static counts as a classic in 2021, and the news of a restock is always welcome. So what should we know about these kicks before they make a comeback?
Okay, we gotta mentally go back to 2018. Kanye’s Yeezys were the thing you gotta have to let everyone know that you’re all that. And well, they kinda still are despite lots of changes in the sneaker industry. So anyway, Yeezy 700 made bulky kicks a trend and everyone was hopping on board. But why have one silhouette when you can have two? Ye went on and ignored the “why fix what isn’t broken” rule, and dropped the Yeezy 700 V2 Static. So you see, the grey and white colorway kicked off the silhouette on the right footing!
Yeezy 700 V2 Static dropped on December 29, 2018, and retailed for $300. A high price tag if you ask us, but definitely worth every penny. Today, the pair is worth $766 on average. So if you’re still holding on to a pair since then, now is a great time to flip it!
So Kanye once promised his fans that whoever wanted a pair of Yeezys will be able to get it. And he might be a lot of things, but definitely not a liar! So the restocks kept coming, and so did Yeezy Day. However, Yeezy 700 V2 Static only restocked once, and that’s on Yeezy Day 2019. But that barely counts because the stock on everything was low. In 2022 though, we can expect a full-blown Static return!
Now, according to the Yeezy Mafia, Yeezy 700 V2 Static is set to return sometime during Spring 2022. That means any time between January and March! As for the retail, we’re still not sure whether these babies will still sell for the old $300, or if they’ll hold the new price tag of 240$. Nobody knows anything for sure at this point! Could that happen at the expense of the material? Only time will tell.
