Why fix what isn’t broken? We usually tend to think along these lines. But Ye definitely disagrees with this statement. In fact, he’s always looking at interesting things to do with his Yeezy sneakers. If we can call his latest creations anything, it would be out of the box. And honestly, the 350s are pretty interesting kicks to tinker with. The last thing we got was the Mono pack that was pretty underrated if you ask us. But will the new Yeezy 350 Compact join the Monos? Or will it make a bang when it drops? Let’s find out now!
Okay, a fact that we won’t debate is that the Yeezy 350s aren’t 350s without the rib midsole shell. So what’s left to change? The upper of course! But then again, we like the knit upper, so how can it get better than that? Well, maybe by making it extra comfy with a better sock-like fit. Who wouldn’t want that? The cut at the ankle will also be lower than the original V2s. We’re also saying goodbye to the transparent side stripe.
However, the upper is anything but boring! Instead of a monochrome upper with a stripe, we’re gonna get a mix of cool patterns. So, win-win? Rule of thumb: if it looks super comfy, odds are, it definitely is. And the new Yeezy 350 Compact certainly looks comfy af, so we’re willing to take a shot with these!
Before we get into the release deets, we wanna talk colorways! First off, we have an interesting Yeezy 350 Compact “Slate Blue” colorway. This pair is pretty cool and lowkey because it has mostly bluish fray, so anyone can pull it off. And if you want some insight on how to style Yeezys, check this out. The second colorway is on the next level of drip though. “Slate Red” kinda brings back memories of the Red Octobers in a very Yeezy 350 kinda way.
Now let’s get to the important bit: the when! Yeezy 350 Compact Slate Blue will drop on December 6, 2021, for the usual $220. And the c+oolest thing is that you can flip it for about $620 on the resale market! What more could we ask for? But, if you’re the bold type and wanna go for the Slate Reds, you’re gonna have to wait till February 2022 according to the Yeezy Mafia!
