Nike is no stranger to announcing new retailer rules and further bot restrictions. But this time, matters were out of this world with the Travis Scott Jordan Golf drop! These kicks are currently reselling for an average of $995 in the aftermarket already! I mean, obviously with such gems Nike had to do something. So how exactly did Nike tighten the ropes and level up the drama on this drop? And how did stores jump through hoops to keep resellers from buying kicks? Let’s find all that out and more, shall we?
So, Nike decided to drop the Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low Golf on the SNKRS app on October 13th. However, it would be only available through Exclusive Access, a move that left many sneaker enthusiasts in surprise. On top of that, they put some serious ground rules. Nike wanted to ensure that only the most devoted Travis Scott and golf aficionados could cop a pair. To be eligible for selection, you had to meet not one, but two rather demanding criteria:
1- You entered and lost at least three previous Travis Scott draws on the SNKRS app.
2- You purchased at least one Golf footwear product from Nike between January 1, 2022 and October 8, 2023.
Hold up, that’s not all. Even if you met these conditions, Nike didn’t guarantee availability in your size or even any general availability. Heck, they didn’t even guarantee that you’d be selected for the draw. They just urged you to enable your SNKRS app push notifications and pray for luck.
Following suit with Nike’s cut-throat rules, the UK retailer Trendy Golf decided to take matters into their own hands. The store wanted to ensure that genuine golfers got the chance to swing in style with Travis Scott’s Golf sneakers. Their solution? A golfing simulator experience at Pitch London’s site. But there’s a catch… There’s always a catch! Here are all the hoops you had to jump through:
It might sound like a tough task for the average non-golfer, which it is if you don’t know how to swing a club. But it was a brilliant move to ensure real golf enthusiasts get their hands on the coveted kicks. It’s clear that Trendy Golf’s approach is all about making sure the sneakers go to those who deserve it; golfers.
In the world of sneaker releases, this Travis Scott AJ1 Low Golf drop was certainly one for the books. Nike tried to prioritize loyalty, and retailers followed suit. Gotta admit though, the Trendy Golf experience was a golf-sneakerhead’s ultimate dream come true! Despite the hype, however, these rules can be very unfair to even the most loyal Golf sneakerheads. What if you were just unlucky or got nervous with all eyes on you? Or what if you were just a Travis Scott sneaker collector and suck at Golf?
After all that stuff going down, everyone is asking about the future of botting and resale. Don’t worry though, because sneaker botting is still safe and sound. All you gotta do is find yourself a really good all-in-one bot with a team constantly up-to-date. After all, we all wanna bypass Nike’s and other platforms’ security to cop the kicks we want! That’s why whenever retailers up their game, so does that bot! Don’t go looking too far for that bot though, because NSB is all that and more, and we got proof. So go on and get your copy today to get started on your sneaker botting journey. Godspeed!
