Well, guess all the talk about Travis moving on from the Jordan 1 was b… not true. In fact, it seems like the rapper leaned even heavier into dropping more Jordan 1s this year alone! And now, we have leaks of one more release, the Travis Scott Jordan 1 Black Olive. But how is it different from the previous releases? We’re gonna find that out together right now! However, before you dive into this pair, make sure you know the history of Travis Scott’s collabs. If you already are a die-hard fan though, let’s skip to the good part, shall we?
If you didn’t follow, let’s get you up to speed. In 2023, Travis Scott and Jordan Brand gave us two Jordan 1 Lows. The first was the women-exclusive Olive, which is currently worth $676 on average in resale. But the star of the year was certainly October 2023’s Jordan 1 Low Golf Neutral Olive. Although they’re AJ1s, they were different, and we discussed how they’re different here. Today, the golf Travis Scott AJ1 Low is worth about $850 on the aftermarket.
But just as we thought that we were done with this silhouette, Cactus Jack said hell nah! And that’s when we got a glimpse of the upcoming Travis Scott Jordan 1 Black Olive. At first glance, we legit thought it was 2019’s Jordan 1 Low Mocha (worth $1,810 on the resale market). Now, while the color blocking is the same, the overlays come in a dark olive shade, not dark mocha. If you wanna get technical, dark mocha falls under the brown palette, while dark olive is on the green side.
Anyway, the rest of the design features the black base, white reverse swoosh, and sail midsole we know and love. And of course, we can’t forget about the red co-branding on the heels and the tongue. So all in all, though it feels like something we’ve already seen, it’s a must-have for sneakerheads and fans.
Although the official partners haven’t said anything yet, rumors already flew. You see, the Travis Scott Jordan 1 Black Olive will allegedly drop in Fall 2024. As for retail, they’ll probably go for the usual $150… depending on Jordan prices in 2024. What we do know for sure though is that these babies will be worth every penny you pay in retail. And we have previous Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low releases as enough proof! But how can you catch hot kicks like those for retail without taking Ls?
