A rose in Harlem grew out the concrete. Teyana Taylor is one hella talented rose that came from Harlem! She’s a singer, actress, model, mother, and one eye-catching sneakerhead. And she finally got her first Jordan Brand collaboration that she totally deserves! Once again, music and sneakers meet in the middle to give us a cool collab. So, here’s everything you should know about the upcoming Teyana Taylor Air Jordan 1! And if you wanna check out more collabs and hot releases, our blog is here to the rescue.
If you’re a Ye fan, then you’re probably aware that Teyana Taylor’s vocals were on some of his MBDTF tracks. From there on, Taylor got her big break and later on, dropped her album, and the rest is history. Sadly, she took the decision to retire from music and not go on tours anymore. Whether she’s gonna step back into the spotlight remains to be seen.
However, her retirement doesn’t mean that she’s not active in the public eye. After all, she’s still acting and making awesome screen appearances. And well, she’s still a sneakerhead through and through. In fact, she’s one of the most influential women sneakerheads out there. She’s also one of the pioneers in breaking through the male-dominated industry with all her dop fits. That’s why the upcoming Teyana Taylor Air Jordan 1 is not a surprising but an exciting collab!
In her last tour in 2022, Teyana rocked a pair of kicks that nobody ever saw before. But well, everyone was busy saying goodbye to the artist. But a bit later, we got a message from Taylor through the Jumpman23 official Instagram account! From there the buzz started until we got official pictures of the collaboration and a release date.
The upcoming Teyana Taylor Air Jordan 1 at its core features the OG Chicago colorway with a personal touch. For starters, the heel cup comes in brown, and the black swoosh on one shoe extends to the midsole. Meanwhile, the second swoosh is red and has thorns on it just like a rose. In addition to the visible details, inside the collar wings, you can find the phrase “A Rose From Harlem”. The pair will also come with yellow laces and TEY on the tongue. Finally, even the shoebox will be special with “From concrete, grew a rose” written on it.
The Teyana Taylor Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2 will drop on June 1, 2023, and will retail for $150. Now, these babies will be worth owning for more than their awesome looks. You see, the average resale value of the pair is currently $377, which is more than 2x the original retail. So, how can you score a pair of these rosy babies (or more)?
Hot collabs are usually a little harder to successfully cop than your average pair of sneakers. And well, you know how Nike SNKRS gets sometimes. Don’t worry though because we got the perfect solution for you! An all-in-one sneaker bot like the upcoming NSB3 is everything you need to cop kicks.
