The sneaker industry can go through many changes along with ups and downs. Naturally, not many partnerships thrive the way Stussy Nike did. And today, we’re gonna list the complete history of the collaboration that entered its third decade! But before we get into what we now consider classics and the more modern collabs, you should know Stüssy’s history. Don’t worry though, we have a full history breakdown right here! Now, with that out of the way, let’s jump right in, shall we?
With Nike and Stüssy almost halfway through their third decade of partnership, they served with every release. While it all started with about one release per year, the collabs became more frequent later! Anyway, let’s check out all the releases decade by decade. You know, the proverb goes: divide and conquer. So let’s conquer this interesting list together!
The first decade of the Stussy Nike partnership happened to be during the golden age of Nike releases. Think about it… All the hottest non-OG Jordan colorways came in the 2000s. Moreover, Nike Skateboarding was setting its roots in the sneaker industry with amazing drops and collabs. Now, you can kinda form an impression of what it was like during that decade! Anyway, during that time, we got ten Stussy Nike collabs. So, that’s an average of one collab per year!
From the legendary Stüssy SB Dunk Low Cherry to lesser-known silhouettes like Nike Court Force, the list is pretty versatile. However, the releases didn’t stop at individual silhouettes. Sometimes, we got pretty cool packs like the World Tour Project. This pack included three silhouettes: Nike Dunk High, Trainer Dunk Low, and Free Trail 5.0. In addition to that, 2009’s Boneyards pack was a three-way collab with Japan’s NEIGHBORHOOD. That collection included Nike Blazers and Terminators.
This decade was relatively muted in comparison to the ones before and after it. And we can see that reflected in the Stussy Nike collaborations throughout these years. They were pretty under the radar and not very hype. However, they’re still pretty cool additions to your sneaker collection. And if you’re into outdoorsy things, the S&S Off Mountain Series is a must-have for you!
With the start of the 2020s, the Stussy Nike partnership went into their releases full-throttle! The decade kicked off with not one, but three collaborative releases. One of these is the Air Force 1 Low which was pretty in demand! The next year, these same AF1s came back in an extremely limited and hand-dyed run. Every pair was unique because of that. Now, fast forward to 2023, and the partnership is as strong as ever, especially with the last release: the Nike Air Flight 89!
Well, the Stusyy Nike partnership is for sure not gonna slow down any time soon. And we can expect more collabs to come. So if you wanna be ready when the release day arrives, you need a good sneaker bot. Don’t worry though, we got your back, because NSB3 is the best all-in-one bot that you could need. From Shopify to Nike SNKRS and more, you can give your odds the push they need! Who knows? The next Nike Stüssy collab could be the reason you become a sneaker reseller and start making cash. Godspeed!
