Another Chinese New Year, another Chinese zodiac, but this time, it’s legendary (literally)! And of course, it became a yearly tradition for the Swoosh to commemorate each new year with amazing releases. Obviously, the Nike Year of the Dragon won’t disappoint with all the hot drops! From performance to lifestyle, Nike covered all the bases for you. And if we’re honest, we can’t pick a favorite, and neither will you! So, let’s check out what 2024’s CNY has in store for us, shall we?
2024, 2012, 2000, etc… These are the Years of the Dragon on the Chinese calendar. The most interesting thing is that the Dragon is the only mythical creature out of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs. Now, some of the qualities of people born in the Year of the Dragon are the following: good leadership, charisma, and intelligence. If you wanna read more about the Year of the Dragon, check this out! Now, let’s hop into the list of kicks.
Although we already covered these babies in detail here, there’s no harm in more knowledge. These babies are lowkey the highlight of the collection, and that’s not new. Last year’s AJ1 Low Year of the Rabbit is currently worth about $730 in resale. 2021’s Year of the Tiger AJ1 Low is at $290, while the CNY pair from the same year is at $470. Finally, 2020’s Jordan 1 Low CNY is worth $355 on the aftermarket. We’re telling you all this so you’d know that if 2024’s pair is gonna be like its predecessors, then you’re in for some good money in addition to style! You can expect them to drop on January 24, 2024, for $160.
On the same day that the AJ1 drops, ballers will be happy to know that they’ll get the Jordan 38! The Year of the Dragon pair will feature a very similar color palette to the 1s. Most of the upper will come in red with hits of jade on the laces and the midsole. So if you wanna stand out on the court, these babies are for you. Jordan 38 Year of the Dragon will also drop on January 24, 2024, for $200.
What’s a celebration without a new Air Force 1 colorway? The classic silhouette is a classic because it appeals to all tastes thanks to its huge colorway variety. And the Year of the Dragon isn’t complete without a pair of Forces! If you don’t like very colorful kicks, this one is perfect since it’s a light gray and pastel pink colorway. The only YotD hints are on the lace lock, tongue and heel tag, and insole designs. Although we don’t know much about them yet, we can expect them to drop in January 2024.
You didn’t think the Nike Year of the Dragon celebration would pass without a pair of Dunks, did you? This time though, it’s the peeps in GS sizes who will enjoy the cool design! You see, the kicks will feature a simple white and grey upper. However, the swoosh has all the action because it has a dragon wrapped around it! Oh, and this same swoosh is velcro, aka removable. This pair will drop in January 2024 for $100, so keep an eye out for more info!
Another Dunk will join the ranks of the Dragon-themed kicks! Just like the Air Force 1 Year of the Dragon, the Nike Dunk LX will come in simple color blocking: a mix of mint, white, and blue. However, the tongue tag, insole, and lace lock will feature the Year of the Dragon designs! The pair will be women-exclusive and will drop in 2024 for $135.
If you want a pair of stylish performance kicks, the Nike KD 4 is ready to deliver… again. So, in 2012, the Nike KD4 dressed up in blues to celebrate the Year of the Dragon! That pair is currently worth $353 on average resale if you’re wondering. And now, 12 years later, we’ll get a brand new colorway instead of a reissue! The new colorway fits better with the general Nike Year of the Dragon theme. It features a brown and sail upper with a red swoosh on the side. However, a badass dragon loops around the dramatic swoosh and KD logos on the heel area. These babies will drop in February 2024, for $150.
Last, but not least, Nike Ja 1 takes this year’s participation award with the variety of colorways it gave us. Although we don’t have official pictures of the sneakers, the leaks showed us enough. These babies will feature a mix of blue and gold and CNY-inspired patterns. We don’t know much about this release so far. What we do know though is that they’ll drop in January 2024 and will retail for $110!
Just like every cool Nike and Jordan, these drops will take place on Nike SNKRS and select retailer sites. But just like you, many people will be going after the cool sneakers… and the profitable ones. So, if you wanna boost your odds against the competition, you’ll need a sneaker bot. And to be specific, go for an all-in-one bot to tip the odds in your favor on all sites!
If you’re not familiar with what botting is, check this out. And if you are, maybe it’s time to invest in NSB, aka the only bot you need. Wanna know more about sneaker botting and sneaker news?
