So we’re all looking forward to the upcoming Jordan 2023 lineup. However, it’s not the only lineup worth checking out, we promise! In fact, the Jordan and Nike Lunar New Year lineup is just lovely. So let’s take a look at what the Year of the Rabbit holds for us. From a tribute to the last Rabbit Year to the latest Jordan silhouette, we have a nice pack! So if you’re a collector, all the following sneakers are worth adding to your sneaker collection. Let’s get started, shall we?
So the Lunar New Year is the beginning of a calendar year whose months are moon cycles. Another name for it is the Chinese New Year because it’s a traditional festival in China. The first day of CNY begins on the new moon that appears between January 21 and February 20. And this year, it will start on January 22, 2023!
So we’re gonna split the list into two halves. The first is all about Nike’s releases, and the second is Jordan-focused. And well, to be fair, we can’t choose favorites from this sick collection. However, we have to give it to Nike, they definitely know what to pull from the archives. Why? Because our headliner, the Nike Dunk Low, is a tribute to 2011’s Nike Air Force 1 Year of the Rabbit! Mind you, the AF1 is currently worth $765 on average, so if the Dunks are this successful, you gotta cop.
Of course, it wouldn’t be fair to not bring back classics like the Air Force 1. But it’s not the one that we saw back in 2011. We’re actually gonna get a tan and white upper with embroidery giving it a luxurious feel. And of course, we have a nod to our furry friend through the heel and swoosh material. The kicks will drop under the name “Leap High”, which says a lot!
Did you think that we were done? Think again! Jordan Brand is bringing to the table five different sneakers. And we’re not exaggerating when we say that they look so good! First off we’re kicking it (literally) with a Jordan 1 Low that’s almost becoming a tradition. The kicks feature a furry design, obviously, with subtle Asian-style motifs. Now rumor has it that these babies will drop on January 21, 2022. Oh and keep in mind that there will only be 5,000 pairs available.
Next up, we have the Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2. Although the design gives no festive hints, it’s the insole that gives the kicks away. But heck! Who wouldn’t wanna own a pair of these babies? And you can complete the set with the matching Jordan Legacy 312. This one will come in the same light olive/cream color palette with the same insole motifs. Although there is no exact release date for those, odds are they’ll also come along in January 2023.
Well, your best bet to get the kicks, especially the ones with low stock, is to use a sneaker bot. From Nike SNKRS to select retailers, an all-in-one bot can give you the edge you need on drop day. If you’re not familiar with the whole thing, check this out. And if you’re already weighing your options, then NSB should be on there. It’s one of the most consistent and oldest bots in the industry. But with NSB3 Beta out now, the bot is taking the future of botting by storm! Hurry up and get your own copy now to experience it all firsthand! Godspeed
