Nike Dunk Low Veneer Follows in the Plum’s Footsteps!

Once again, we find that the sneaker industry is taking us back to the 2000-2010 era. You see if the 90s was the golden era of kicks, then the 2000s was right behind it! This kinda explains why Nike always taps back into the releases of that decade. And today is no different with a pretty interesting sneaker comeback! If you were a fan of the Nike Dunk Plum return, then the Nike Dunk Low Veneer is just the pair you wanna keep an eye on. These babies are coming back very soon, and here’s everything you need to know about them.

Nike Dunk Low Veneer – Weird Colors Can Work!

Let’s take it back all the way to 2001. That year (and the ones that followed) was pretty crucial in Nike’s attempt to go international. And one of the markets that the brand tapped into was Japan. The result of that was the launch of CO.JP sneakers which were Japan-exclusive drops. And honestly, Concept Japan aka CO.JP, introduced sneakers that are still relevant today. Some of these kicks were the Nike Dunk Low Veneer, Plum, and Ceramic. While these babies weren’t really a pack, they featured similar color blocking. This earned them the name of the Ugly Duckling Pack among sneakerheads.

Ugly Duckling Pack in 2024 – Part 2

As we already mentioned, the Nike Dunk Low Veneer dates all the way back to 2001. These babies feature a veneer brown suede base with green overlays and a purple swoosh and outsole. So, all in all, the sneakers are pretty edgy yet cool! Now, the 2001 pair is currently worth about $350. Moreover, these babies retroed in 2020, and currently go for about $240 in resale. Now, what should you know about the 2024 comeback?

Four years after the first retro, the Nike Dunk Low Veneer will come back this year! We can expect these babies to drop on April 11, 2024, for $115. And if the kicks are worth anything like the two previous installations, you know you gotta have them. So, how can you score a pair for retail on drop day? Or maybe multiple pairs?
