Nike Dunk Low Plum Makes Another Appearance in 2024!

Today, the sneaker nostalgia will take us all the way back to 2001’s Japan. That year, Nike gave the sneaker industry all over the world something to envy: the Ugly Duckling pack. You see, this collection included three colorways that were… well, ugly? However, many would agree that they were anything but, especially with the hype they got. So today, we’ll check out the return of the Nike Dunk Low Plum, one of the collection’s stars. Here’s everything you should know about the 2024 drop, so shall we?

Nike Pro B Dunk Lows – The SBs Before the SBs!

So, before we get down to this colorway, let’s take a look at the 2001 pack as a whole. You gotta keep in mind that this was a year before the Nike SB division blew up. That year, the Swoosh came up with an idea, the Nike Pro B Dunk line. It was a nod to the 80s when skaters resorted to Jordan 1s and Dunks to skate! That was thanks to their sturdy material and comfortable feel. Anyway, Nike decided to pay tribute to this era with the “Ugly Duckling” collection.

Don’t get us wrong, there’s nothing ugly about these kicks. In fact, they weren’t even an official pack, but since they were all similar in design and dropped around the same time, they became one. But what’s so special about them? Well, they featured fatter laces and more durable materials on the upper! That’s a great recipe for skaters if you ask us. Moreover, some Pro B kicks featured thicker tongues, similar to Nike SB Dunks today.

Nike Dunk Low Plum – Looking Good 23 Years Later!

In 2001, as we already mentioned, Nike dropped the following three colorways: Ceramic, Veneer, and Plum! They all came in the same design with different color blocking. Moreover, all three were Japan-exclusive, or what we know as CO.JP pairs! The Nike Dunk Low Plum featured a light purple suede base with darker purple on the overlays. The finishing touches on these babies are the dark red swoosh, laces, and outsole. So all in all, it’s a pretty cool pair of kicks! Today, the 2001 pair is worth about $600 in resale.

It’s worth noting, that the Nike Dunk Low Plum made its first comeback in 2020! And it was the first time we got these babies in 19 years. But well, the wait didn’t last for long, because 2024 rolled around, and we’ll get the Plum Dunks again! These babies will stay true to the OG design, despite the colors being a tiny bit more vibrant.

Release Info

The Nike Dunk Low Plum will drop on March 21, 2024, and will retail for $125. And these babies will definitely be worth it for two reasons! The first one is that they’ll look pretty dope if you style them right. However, the second reason is that you can flip these babies for about $250, aka 2x the original retail price. But the question here is, how can you score these babies for retail?

How to Buy Nike Dunk Low Plum for Retail?

When it comes to cool and hype releases, demand is usually high. So, that makes buying kicks for retail a bit more challenging than average. Now, sneaker reselling is certainly a market you should look into, despite people saying that the market is dead. But you can’t get into that without scoring kicks for retail, and to do that, you need the help of a sneaker bot! After all, sneaker botting and reselling usually go hand in hand.

Now, if you’re looking for a good sneaker bot to cook on the Nike SNKRS App, we got you. But why would you restrict yourself to only a Nike bot when you can go for an all-in-one bot? A bot like that supports all kinds of websites and maximizes your odds of success on drop day. Don’t worry though, you don’t have to look too far for the best bot for you, because NSB3 is here! From being a kickass Shopify bot to cooking on Nike SNKRS and more, we got you. So go on and get your NSB3 key today to get cooking in no time. Godspeed!
