Last year a rare phenomenon took place: a huge number of people were able to get Ws on Yeezy releases. Even without a sneaker bot! For the first time in history, Adidas Yeezys sat on shelves. It was no miracle, however, as Kanye has been promising Yeezys for everyone for years now! Despite the incline in stock numbers in the 2018 releases, it seems that new Yeezys will release in limited quantities. According to the Yeezy Mafia, the new Yeezys will be bringing back that hype that die-hard sneakerheads and resellers love and adore. How? By making Yeezys exclusive again.
The newest of the Yeezys to drop will be the Yeezy Boost 700 Salt. The release date is set to Saturday, February 23 and the pairs are to be limited AF. Similar to the previous 700s, the Salt will retail for $300 USD and will be available at Adidas, Yeezy Supply, and a few select Yeezy retailers.
Resale Worthy? The high retail price of the Yeezy sneakers never stops them from getting listed on reselling sites. However, don’t expect to make hundreds of dollars off a pair of $300 Yeezys. It would be great if you can even get a $100 profit from reselling a pair. That’s why it’s better to cop multiples! The more pairs you sell, the more profit you’ll make.
Right after the Salt, and with less than a month in between, another Yeezy Boost 700 will drop in March. Dubbed the Inertia colorway, is a grey-clad sneaker with bright hits of neon coral. Wasn’t that 2018’s color of the year? Anyway, the reason we think the releases are so close together is that the stock number on each colorway will be limited. Which means this is a way for Kanye to feel like he’s making Yeezys for all, yet still giving each colorway its deserved value by making it limited. As you know, retail price is $300 USD, and if you’re reselling then cop multiples.
And if those weren’t enough 700s, there’s reportedly a third colorway due to drop in Spring 2019 as part of Yeezy Season 8. However, there hasn’t been a word on this colorway since December. Could it be canceled? Wouldn’t be upset if they were. Straight. Trash.
As per the Yeezy Mafia, we should be expecting a trio of 350 v2s to drop sometime in spring. These will come in vibrant colorways, the Clay, Hyperspace, and True Form, and will feature that transparent stripe running along the lateral. There’s yet no information regarding the stock level, but if they’re so-called “special” they’re probably limited?
Resale Worthy? If the stock level for each colorway is limited, this release will have similar Yeezy resale price potential to the trio that dropped on Black Friday in 2016.
The Yeezy 700 V2 is one of the newest silhouettes that Ye designed and it’s getting some earthy-toned colorways that drift pretty far from the Static iteration.
With an attempt to tap into the b-ball community, Ye is set to release the first-ever Yeezy Basketball shoe, Quantum. While it faced rumors of a potential ban from the hardwood (ahem S/O Air Jordan 1), it may finally release this year. Seeing as how it brings a whole new design to the table, we have high hopes for this one.
While there are many colorways dropping this year, it’s possible that the stock on each colorway will be low. To be honest, that’s way better than millions of pairs of Cream Whites oversaturating the market. This could potentially return us to the glory days of Yeezys when we wanted to run our bots on every single release and collect or resell all the colorways.
