Every Jordan Shoe Box (1 – XX9)

Jordan 1 & 2 – Pre-Jumpman Era

So before Jordan Brand became a wholly independent entity under the Nike umbrella, it was a humble endorsement. Well, as humble as the most popular collab of the 80s could be. Anyway, the box of the OG Jordan 1 was the simple classic Nike box. PS – That’s the box we got when the Jordan 1 Lost and Found dropped!

Now fast forward to the Air Jordan 2, and you’ll find that Nike kicked it up a notch with the Wings logo! And because the kicks were pretty fancy, that Jordan shoe box had to live up to the kicks it held inside. Therefore we got the cute box with the Wings-shaped lid.

Jordan 3 – 7 – If It Works, Why Fix It?

Well, not really dark because the boxes were pretty cool. With Air Jordan 3, we got the Jumpman logo, and that meant that the shoe box would have them. But let’s not forget that this is the era in which we also got the cement pattern! So of course, Jordan Brand translated that novelty into the boxes. The end result? Pretty similar boxes for all the silhouettes from Jordan 3 through Jordan 7, not that we’re complaining.

Jordan 8 – 10 – Simple Is the Name!

After the AJ7, Jordan Brand really kept it simple with the Jordan shoe box. You see, sometimes simplicity is the best solution! The box stayed plain with a mix of grey, black, and the signature logo. Although they’re not too special, they’re still OGs and we love them all the same.

Jordan 11 – 15 – Slowly Breaking Out?

Let’s start with Jordan 11 and 12. These two spiced things up with red lids and the signature Jumpman logo. Although it’s very nice, we never saw this type of shoebox again. So if you’re a broad owner of OGs, hold on to them dearly!

With Jordan 13 and 14, the design team was totally hitting a creative wall. The Jordan shoe box came in all-grey with a red Jumpman on the lid. Simple, straight to the point. And the 15th silhouette wasn’t any more distinct because it switched back to the black box!

Jordan 16 – XX – The Jordan Shoe Box Renaissance!

It seems like Jordan Brand felt the need to spice it up a bit and not only with the shoes. It kinda worked, because Jordan 16’s box started breaking the monotony. And what’s better than MJ’s own face on the lid to convince us?

Fast forward to Jordan 17, and the design team was on a roll. Instead of the classic cardboard box, we got a business-looking briefcase box with an interactive CD in it! And although you can’t top a briefcase, the Jordan 18 box included a brush and towel to keep your kicks clean.

And now, Jordan 19. This one’s one of our favorites just because it’s cool and functional! So the box went back to the grey and black mix but with a twist. It came in two halves (black and grey) that split when you remove the lid, which is pretty dope. And finally, we have Jordan XX in this section which was a copy of Jordan XIX, with a velcro strap holding it together.

Jordan XX1 – 2010 – The Golden Age

We’re not gonna say much here because we’re gonna let the images speak! However, we’ve got a few notes. So Jordan XX1’s box was pretty bulky, and we don’t blame you if you didn’t keep it. Jordan XX2 looked like a time capsule you’d bury and unearth after 50 years. And Jordan XX3 gave a leatherish vibe with the lid pattern.

Next up, we have Jordan 2009, which came in a very peculiar shape. The 2010 Jordan shoe box then went to the roots with a cardboard box that you can pull out of a black cover. This one is pretty cool if you ask us.

Jordan 2011 & 2012 – Choose Your Flight

These kicks were really ahead of their time with their adjustable insoles depending on your type of gameplay. And of course, the Jordan shoe box lived up to our expectations! They featured multi-tier constructions to include the soles.

Jordan XX8 – XX9 – Keepin’ It Poppin’!

Back at it with the Roman numerals! Well, we did love how fancy they looked, why lie? Anyway, Jordan XX8 came in a box that looked like a laptop case more than an actual shoe box. And finally, Jordan XX9 spiced it up with a red and black shoe box. That kinda was the first time we got a red and black mix since the Jordan 15!
