Jordan 38 Is Here and It’s Giving 1993 All Over Again!

It’s a tradition by now, with 37 silhouettes under Jordan Brand’s belt. And 2023 is not different, because the industry’s ready to welcome the new Jordan 38! Of course, no Jordan drops without a story, and this one will take us 38 years back. From state-of-the-art design to a retro feel at the core, these babies are worth the attention! So, what tech and design should we expect this year? Let’s find out together! And if you’re looking for something a little more retro, we gotchu. Jordan 1 UNC Toe Drops very soon, and here’s everything you need to know about it.

A 1993 Pitstop First!

The year was 1993 when the Chicago Bulls worked towards their first three-peat. After winning the 1991 and 1992 championships, the Bulls had their eyes set on that gold target: the 1993 ring. At the same time, Michael Jordan was working on his own legacy with Nike. And well, on his way to the third championship, he rocked the Jordan 8. Now, keep that in mind, because we’re gonna circle back to that later. And if you wanna take a look at Jordan’s other championship kicks, check this out.

Jordan 38 – Court Mobility and Modern Retro Feels

If Jordan Brand is famous for anything, it’s the awesome technology it brings to the table every year. And this year, the inspiration behind the new tech is Jordan’s footwork. His famous fadeaway jumper inspired the new plate tech to be specific.

The shoe’s design is low to the ground so players can have more court feel during different plays. But when it comes to the back design, the new X-plate stands out. This is an obvious nod to the Air Jordan 8 that came exactly 30 years ago. The herringbone pattern on the outsole is a must for good ground grip. And the radial placement helps players have smother turns! And when it comes to cushioning… it’s not called Air Jordan for sh*ts and giggles.

The Value in Jordan 38

When you take a closer look at the upper, you’ll see how the tributes are aplenty! For example, 41 crosshatches on the collar represent Jordan’s 41-points-per-game average for the 1993 series. Three diamonds on the middle represent the Chicago franchise’s third consecutive championship. Finally, with at least 20% recycled materials, the Jordan 38 is the most sustainable silhouette in Jordan history!

Release Info

Jordan 38’s first colorway, Fundamentals, in black/red/white, will drop on August 18, 2023. However, September 2023 will bring in more colorways that you can see for yourself here. And these babies will retail for $200, which is cheaper than other colorways. So, if you’re looking for your next basketball shoe, the Jordan 38 should definitely be up on your list of must-haves!

Finally, whether you wanna cop these babies, or any other Jordan for that matter, you’ll need help. An all-in-one bot like NSB3 can give you the best odds at scoring Js and more on many sites.
