The Jordan Fall 2020 lineup is already here and the drops keep on coming! It’s always a good day when we get a classic silhouette with a classic colorway. And an Air Jordan 12 colorway is always worth our while! Let’s check out the upcoming Jordan 12 University Gold and why you need to have it. And if you wanna know more, check out the full history of Air Jordan here!
A lot of the new Jordan Retros hold a lot of allusions to older versions of the same kicks. Sometimes we get a classic colorway on a different silhouette. Our favorite thing is when a new colorway is a huge throwback to extremely exclusive kicks. Just like this one. Air Jordan 12 University Gold features the same yellow and black leather upper of Gary Payton’s 2003 PE! However, “The Glove” branding and his number “20” are not there, which is fair enough. The yellow kicks are the closest to The Glove’s “Away” PEs. And it’s kind of a fitting time to drop these, what with all the “Last Dance” Jordan-Payton banter!
The upcoming Air Jordan 12 University Gold will drop on July 24, 2020, after the week delay from July 18. The kicks will retail for $190, and they currently resell for a starting value of $270. However, depending on the size, the 12s can resell for as high as $2,000!
Although this is an awesome colorway, we’d like to remember some other colorways. These are cool alternatives if you think the Jordan 12 University Gold a bit too much for you. So if you’d like a hint of gold with a toned-down colorway, read on!
One of the OG 1996 colorways. It features a black and white leather upper, with golden eyelets, and black and yellow outsole! The kicks dropped again in 2008 and 2013. So if you’re into simple colorways, this is the pair for you! The 2013 version of the kicks currently resells for an average of $750. So if you don’t wanna pay the resale price, better wait for a restock!
The evil brother of the Taxi! Just kidding, it’s the same detailing with one important difference. The black outsole is white, and the white leather upper is black suede now! The hint of yellow is the same on the outsole. So it’s pretty much a darker edition. And it’s definitely worth your while. The Reverse Taxi is a new colorway that dropped in October 2019. The kicks retailed for $190 but resell for an average of $280, almost 1.5 times the retail. So this is a bit more affordable version of the Taxi 12s!
The Air Jordan 12 University Gold is definitely gonna be on high-demand. So if you really wanna stand a chance at copping the kicks, you should get your NSB key as soon as possible. After all, NSB is one of the most powerful bots out there and the success rate is awesome!
