A Little Recap of the Freshgoods x New Balance Partnership

In the last couple of years, we witnessed the rise of New Balance as a solid brand on the market. While it was already a good brand for the daily sneaker users who don’t care about hype, it went beyond that. Thanks to the awesome collabs that they pulled off with different brands and designers, they came in strong! But one collaborator stands out when it comes to putting NB on the hype map: Joe Freshgoods. And if you wanna check out the history of his New Balance collabs, check this out.

Joe Freshgoods New Balance 990v4 – 1998 Vibes and All!

The designer, artist, and all-around creative mind certainly left a mark in the sneaker industry. And now, he comes back with the Joe Freshgoods New Balance 990v4 collection! According to Freshgoods, the collection draws inspiration from the late 90s. And when we say the late 90s, we mean Hip Hop, cinematography, and magazines of the era! So naturally, this whole capsule is all about storytelling. Now, this collection will include three New Balance 990v4 colorways and matching apparel.

So, the three Joe Freshgoods New Balance 990v4 colorways are white, black, and blue, and their names are ‘Intro’, ‘Outro’, and ‘Keisha Blue’ respectively. These babies all feature the same details: a mesh base with suede and leather overlays. The white pair features black details, the black one has white details, and the blue pair is all blue. Oh, and these three colorways are a direct nod to the 1998 movie Belly.
