We love it when teases and leaks finally lead to something really true! And in today’s case, it’s the JJJJound Adidas Samba collab that everyone has been waiting for. This popularity shouldn’t come as a surprise for multiple reasons that we’ll list in a bit! But before we jump into everything to know about this collab, you should know how your Adidas kicks will fit. After all, you don’t wanna go through the pain of buying kicks for them not to fit right. If you already know all that, then let’s get into all the nitty-gritty details of this upcoming drop, shall we?
Do you think we’re joking? Well, here’s proof of what we’re saying. In 2020, Adidas joined forces with Wales Bonner on a pretty luxurious Adidas Samba collab. And that, ladies and gentlemen, was the start of a chain reaction that ended with the rise of the Sambas! The kicks became the talk of the fashion world, and celebrities rocked it on their outings. But the hype didn’t stop at the Sambas becoming a popular silhouette for everyone.
In fact, more collaborations followed in the next couple of years. That was enough collaborations and exposure for the silhouette to become one of Lyst’s hottest products of 2022. But that wasn’t even the end of the Adidas Samba saga. You see, in 2023, Pharrell Williams gave us many colorful renditions of the silhouette. Now, by mid-2023, the sneaker industry got wind of a new collaboration: the JJJJound Adidas Samba. However, there was not enough information about the collab, but everyone was waiting.
Well, JJJJound is back again with a trick up its sleeve. Originally a digital mood board, Justin Saunders created what became a pretty influential movement in 2006! However it grew beyond that through style and connections, and JJJJound became its own brand. But you know, the sky’s the limit, and the brand started landing quite the collabs. One of which was with New Balance, which was on its own road to hype in 2020! But now, it’s Adidas’ time, and we’re all here for it.
We finally have clear images of the upcoming JJJJound Adidas Samba collab. Two very classic colorways will drop: white and black. In their signature color blocking, the white pair will feature black details, and vice versa. However, here’s the twist; the lining of the kicks will come in mustard. Moreover, we can find the co-branding on the insole and the upper, along with JJJJound’s stamp of approval on the insole. Oh, and these babies are actually made in Germany. Finally, the kicks are complete with the awesome gum soles!
So, according to leaks, the JJJJound Adidas Samba will hit retailers sometime in March 2024. But hot sneaker collaborations are always prone to delays, so fingers crossed! Now, as for retail, it seems like these babies will actually retail for $250, especially since they’re German products. But one thing’s for sure here, and it’s that you don’t wanna miss out on this drop! And if you’re wondering how to do that, we gotchu.
