Stupid. Ugly. Out of date. This is ridiculous. If I can’t find something nice to wear I’m not going. Well, that’s some serious wisdom from the Grinch, aka the OG influencer. In fact, he influenced the industry with all the awesome Grinch sneakers we got throughout the years. So today, we’re gonna check out all the green kicks that are perfect for the holiday season… and every other day because why not? Here’s a list of the oldies, and the kicks you should keep an eye out for before the year ends!
Where It All Started
Before we get to our list, we gotta give credit where it’s due: the first pair of Grinch sneakers. So, on Christmas Day, the NBA has this tradition of five games where the best teams play against each other. And the 2010 Christmas Day game certainly was a game-changer for the sneaker industry. You see, Kobe Bryant stepped out in a very green pair of the Kobe 6. Although the original name was “Green Mamba”, the industry simply fell in love with the Grinch theme. That was thanks to the red details on the otherwise green.
So, it’s safe to say that the kicks made sneaker history on that day! As a result, the 2010 Kobe 6 Grinch is worth $1,500 on average on the resale market. Now, after this success, the Nike Kobe line recreated the colorway on different silhouettes. Some of those are the Nike KB Mentality 2, Nike Mamba Rage, and 2020’s updated Kobe 6 Protro! Therefore, if you wanna add some more Grinch sneakers to your holiday lineup, we got you.
