In the world of sneakers, you’re just bound to have them fakes every once in a while. And the most famous kicks that people copy in mass are Yeezys. Fake Yeezys are certainly around and getting harder to catch with every step. But one very very obvious knockoff is the new Father LLC Pink October sneakers! And just when we thought that 2021 isn’t gonna bring any more controversies, we get this. Read on to find out what’s up with this fake Air Yeezy 2!
If people are talking about it, it definitely has a story. And let’s face it, odds are we’re never gonna get restocks of Kanye’s signature Nike Air Yeezys. So, someone out there took it upon themselves to give us the closest alternative to the Air Yeezy 2 Pure Platinum. And if you take a look at Meta/Father LLC’s Instagram account, it’ll feel like a troll account. From tagging Kanye West to calling the kicks October Pink, this just looks too ironic to be true.
Lo and behold though, the brand kinda totally ripped off the design, colors, and materials to boot. But instead of the empty side panel, we have a huge question mark patch in bold pink! In addition to that, we’ve got the META branding on the Velcro strap. We’re not done yet though, because the tongue has a Horus badge on with a question mark in the middle.
Okay, it kinda sounds sus that a brand decided to launch their first pair as a ripoff. But well, apparently, Meta (which is not connected to the other Meta) has been in the works for years. The brand’s main concept is apparently “living in question”. And at this point, we’re questioning our sanity, because the kicks are kinda rubbing off on us. But the real question is: Is it really a fake Air Yeezy if it comes under a whole different branding? After all, one of the most famous kicks in the industry is a bootleg itself: the Bape BAPE STA!
We kinda discussed the new kicks without taking a look at the original Nike Air Yeezy 2 Pure Platinum. The pair is part of the impressive Yeezy history, especially since it’s one of the few kicks under Nike branding. Air Yeezy 2 Pure Platinum dropped back in June 2012 and retailed for $250. A steep price for a sneaker, but with a resale value of $6,341 on average, it’s worth the investment.
But what do we think about the Pink Octobers? You see, sneaker enthusiasts have a mix of feelings. Some think that this is blasphemy and are truly mad about it. Others are saying that they’d rock these and to let people wear whatever they’re feeling. And here’s our subjective opinion: as long as you’re bringing heat to the table, you rock whatever you want!
For more real legit Yeezys that you can cop at retail in mass and flip, get yourself a sneaker bot. We’re ending the year with a ton of Jordans and Yeezys that you can’t not get a piece of. And a good bot like NSB is what you need to score some wins. But always study your options and check out the full list of the best bots! They’re making a living out of kicks for lots of fans like you. Are you through with the bot shopping? Here are the best Yeezy proxies you need to cop tens of pairs every drop. Godspeed 🔥
