The Di’orr Greenwood Nike SB Dunk Is a Sight to See!

We love it when new collaborations give us new spins on classic sneakers! And when it’s creatives that already dabble in the industry, you know that it’s gonna be good. So, you know how the Nike Skateboarding division always introduces fire partnerships! Don’t get us wrong, because we love classics that make comebacks. However, new blood is never a bad idea, especially when it looks as cool as today’s kicks. So, let’s take a look at what the Di’orr Greenwood Nike SB Dunk will bring to the table, shall we?

Who Is Di’orr Greenwood?

From the Navajo Nation, Northern Arizona comes a skater with a lot of culture to show. Di’orr Greenwood is a creative, skater, and an architect with a lot to show! Not only is she a skater, but she ended up designing her own skate decks, which ended up being a whole business. If you wanna read more about Greenwood’s background, check this out. But what matters is that the mix of Native American and Skateboarding cultures is very unique. And you know how Nike is always looking for uniqueness and style! These two things made Greenwood a great candidate for the collab.

Di’orr Greenwood Nike SB Dunk High – Culture in Style!

We already mentioned how Di’orr Greenwood is a great candidate for a collab, and Nike certainly saw that. Naturally, there would be no better shoe to choose than the classic Nike SB Dunk High! However, there’s nothing classic about Greenwood’s take on the design. You see, the kicks will feature vibrant color blocking inspired by the Arizona desert landscape! The base comes in blue suede, and then the overlays are brown. The black leather toebox and swoosh finally complete the look.

Now, the colors are nice, but it’s the details that make the kicks stand out. You see, the toe box and swoosh both feature stars and constellations, just like Arizona’s night sky. And then on the heel, we have the geometric pattern as a nod to Greenwood’s Navajo roots. Moreover, you can find, once again, the Arizona desert landscape on the insoles. Finally, the kicks are complete with a deconstructed tongue with visible foam and an extra long lace patch!
