Salehe Bembury is going at it again! By the end of 2022, Bembury’s Crocs Pollex became one of the hottest products in fashion according to the Lyst index. No joke, you can check it out here! This collaboration lowkey brought Crocs under a different light for sneakerheads. And well, it just worked! However, when something works, brands start experimenting with how far they can take it. That’s kinda reasonable, and at times very smart. Will the rumored Crocs Pollex Slides be a success or will they flop? Here’s what we think!
Let’s be honest, this was a total W for Crocs. The brand managed to break out of the classic stereotype that it belongs with scrubs or at home. With their Crocs Pollex Clogs collab, the brand managed to slither its way into the sneaker industry and cool streetwear! Kudos to Salehe Bembury for doing some solid work with Crocs and New Balance too. If you wanna know more about the designer who’s behind many hits, check this out! But what’s up with the new leaks? If you didn’t see them yet, you’ll wanna read on.
If you’re wondering what is it with all the new slides coming out, allow us to explain. With the end of the Kanye-Adidas relationship, the market ended up with a gap in the slides department (pun intended). Although there could be a way back into that with people potentially forgiving Kanye, brands are still making the best out of the partnership’s absence! Anyway, Nike certainly did it with the Calm Slides, and now it seems like Crocs and Salehe are going to.
So, what do we know so far? Not much, but rumor (and Salehe’s Instagram account) has it that we got slides coming! The design will be very similar to the classic Crocs Pollex, but make it slides. And as far as colorways go, the teaser features burgundy-ish Crocs Pollex Slides. We’re pretty sure that there will be many colorways if these babies end up publicly dropping!
