It sure is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! But you know that the holiday isn’t complete unless you buy a pair of kicks, or two, or more. Today, we’re gonna go through a list of ugly Christmas sweaters equivalents for sneakerheads: Christmas sneakers! Some pairs are dropping this December and we’re living for it. Meanwhile, we got a couple of others that dropped during previous years. Either way, we know we’re gonna be shopping the heck out of these sneakers! Let’s check them out, shall we?
So this year was (and we couldn’t find a better word for it) disappointing. Although there are pretty awesome releases in time for the holiday, there isn’t a lot of holiday-themed kicks. However, we did a little digging around, and found the kicks that you should totally include in your wardrobe! Here’s everything you need to know about the 2021 Christmas sneakers.
What screams “holidays” more than a sweater with winter-ish patterns? Everyone loves to hate on ugly Christmas sweaters, but always lowkey enjoy wearing them. Anyway, Jordan Brand took a pattern and slapped it on a mid-top AJ1. The end result? A pretty cool pair of Christmas sneakers in GS sizes! The kicks dropped on December 9, 2021, and you can get it today for $127 on average.
Merry Christmas you filthy animal. And a Happy New Year! The iconic movie made its way into every household around the world during the Christmas season. And when we heard about a Home Alone x Adidas Forum collab, we knew we’ll get on board. Although it’s not a very special release, it still earned a place in our hearts! The pair is inspired by the kicks Kevin was actually wearing in the movie.
The 2021 Christmas sneakers feature a white and red colorway just like the movie pair. However, the action goes on with the insoles that have the movie characters on! The kicks also feature different movie-inspired additions like the burn and scuff marks. Finally, you get pins along with the kicks so you can flex your love for the movie!
The pair will drop on December 11, 2021, according to rumors. And we’re honestly keeping an eye on these babies because they’re so festive! From the green soles to the mesh upper that has lots of Santas on them, ‘tis the pair for you. Nothing screams Christmas sneakers more than a healthy mix of green, red, and white!
Do we really need to discuss this pair? Although they’re not Christmas sneakers per se, they’d help us celebrate with serious swag! The Jordan 1 Patent Bred is a flashy take on the classic Jordan 1 Bred, aka the Banned 1s. You can check out the full story here. However, we can expect the kicks to drop on December 30, 2021, for $170. And not only are they awesome-looking, but they’re worth $470 on average on the resale market!
It’s true, you can’t really rock these all year long, but can you imagine how cool a Christmas corner would be if you’re starting your own sneaker collection? So, here are the top 4 Christmas sneakers you should own for a killer holiday corner!
If you were expecting anything else, you’re trippin’. The Grinch is hands-down the best Kobe 6 colorway that exists. We love all the other colorways, but this one just hits different! None of us would consider having a very green pair of sneakers that looks that good. Anyway, the point is that you should get these babies. The original release dates back to December 2010, and it’s worth $1K+ on the aftermarket. However, the 2020 Protro version is a cheaper alternative at $443 on average.
Okay, so this is a recurring theme for Christmas sneakers, and we don’t even blame them. But the Concepts x Nike SB collab is one for the books! It started back in 2013 and picked up in 2017. But if we had to choose, the grey pair is definitely the winner in our books. The pair dropped in December 2013, and it’s worth $557 on the resale market! A pretty nice sum for Christmas kicks, right?
My skull’s so full, it’s tearing me apart. – Jack Skellington. Same Jack, same. And if you can relate to anything in the iconic movie, then you might as well buy the kicks! There was a whole collection that you can choose from, but the Sk8-His are our personal favorites. And let’s not forget about the matching apparel collection! Anyway, the collab dropped in October 2019, and the Sk8-Hi is worth $131 on the aftermarket today.
Last but not least, a very interesting take on Christmas sneakers. Kinda inspired by Christmas sweaters, kinda reminds us of Nordic fashion. And we’ll totally take it because they look pretty awesome. The Air Max 90 is the most festive thing we got in 2020 alongside the rest of the “Nordic” collection! You can get your own pair off the resale market for $142 on average.
Now that you have the ultimate list of Christmas sneakers, you’ll need to keep an eye out for upcoming releases. But whatever you decide to buy for retail, you’re gonna need a sneaker bot. Especially during the holiday season! And speaking of crazy releases, Jordan 11 Cool Grey is right around the corner. So, you better get that bot up and running with the right setup before the drop. Godspeed 🔥
