Spooktober sneakers that everyone should have on Halloween 2019!

Admit it, we’ve all been low-key waiting for this season. The last quarter of the year is all about festivities and cool sneaker drops. With Halloween right around the corner, so are the Halloween 2019 sneakers! And this year, Nike takes the cake as the most festive brand! Why? Well, this month only, they’re dropping three holiday-themed sneakers! Let’s take a look at the best Halloween sneakers to rock in 2019!

Nike Air Force 1 Low “Skeleton”

For Halloween 2019, Nike will be giving us the “Skeleton”. But wait, the name seems familiar right? It definitely is, because last year for Halloween 2018, Nike dropped the Air Force 1 Low White “Skeleton”. This year’s AF1 “Skeleton” will be dressed in black with the spooky X-ray of a skeleton (naturally, the name comes from here). These shoes will also have glow-in-the-dark outsoles. To complete the look, Nike is releasing matching apparel. What a way to be in the spooky mood!

Release Date: October 25, 2019
Retail Price: $130
Style Code: BQ7541-001
Average Resale Value: $220

Nike SB Dunk Low “Night of Mischief”

“Night of Mischief” is everything you’d love about a Halloween shoe. It’s got the style, the color, and the spook. The sneakers come in a black suede upper with jack-o-lantern shaped perforations on the orange leather vamp! The swoosh logo is of the same orange leather. Cool detailing can be found all over the sneakers like the purple spider and spider web, neon green “Trick” and “Treat” embroidery on the heel and a cute little ghost on the inside of the tongue! To complete the look, the insole is the inside of a pumpkin and the outsole comes in very bright neon green. Unfortunately, Nike decided to drop the best sneakers on the night of Halloween 2019.

Release Date: October 31, 2019
Retail Price: $90
Style Code: BQ6817-006
Average Resale Value: $254

Nike Air Force 1 Low “Day of The Dead”

This year, Nike is celebrating El Dia de Los Muertos in its own way. To those not familiar with it, on the “Day of The Dead”, the dead are celebrated instead of mourned in Mexican culture! These celebrations take place on November 1st and 2nd which can be confused with Halloween but are totally unrelated. And now, we’re getting Air Force 1s inspired by the “Day of The Dead” which you can totally wear to celebrate Halloween 2019 too! Under normal light, the shoes are kinda plain white with a subtle skull design. Yellow, blue, pink and green piping breaks the plain white. These colors are a nod to the colorful celebrations where every color bears a meaning. However, one we turn off the lights, the sneakers come to life! The skull design is actually fully reflective.

These shoes will be dropping along with two other “Day of the Dead” sneakers, Nike Air Max 95 and Cortez but the Air Force 1s are by far the best sneakers in this pack!

Release Date: October 25, 2019
Retail Price: TBA
Style Code: CT1138-100
Average Resale Value: $130

Nike Air Force 1 Low “Shibuya”

The honor guest of this list, which a lot of us won’t be able to have (but who knows?). The AF1 “Shibuya” is a Japan exclusive shoe. The name itself is a tribute to Shibuya, which is a special ward in Tokyo, Japan. In this ward, Halloween celebrations are like no other! A huge amount of people gathers on October 31st dressed in all sorts of costumes to celebrate Halloween!

And now, Nike is giving the Japanese sneakerheads a reason to celebrate too! The upper is divided into three parts: black patent leather on the back, orange leather to the front and transparent panels on the sides and the toes! The swoosh logo is dark grey along with black soles. An additional little detail is the “SBY” skyline embroidery with a swoosh all over it! No release details are available for this shoe.

Nike Air Max 98 Halloween 2019 (GS)

Finally, your kids could also go Trick-or-Treating in style this Halloween 2019! The new Nike Air Max 98 is Halloween-inspired and features a spooky cemetery view with the cement grey mudguards, full moon, and bats. Slimy green laces, swoosh, and piping just give off the extra creepy Halloween vibe. We can also notice shots of blood-red color all over the shoe, for example, the heel tab, eyelets and on the side! These are obviously the best sneakers for your kid to kick it on Halloween night!

Release Date: September 15, 2019 (Available now)
Retail Price: $165
Average Resale Value: $142

Conclusion

If you’re into Halloween, just like we are, then these are the best sneakers for you! Even if they don’t have significant resale values, they’re worth having in your closet for when you’re feeling funky. However, the value of last year’s AF1 “Skeleton” is increasing. So why not have this year’s AF1 too? Who knows, they might become a sought-out collectible in a few years!
