With just two months left in 2021, it’s time to start our yearly retrospection. So many sneakers dropped in the last 10 months. Some made a huge bang, while others went under the radar. That’s why we’re gonna put some things in order and go for an awesome Air Jordan recap! What were the best Jordan 1 colorways this year? And did you manage to cop any of them? Let’s find out together!
So, the top 10 Jordan 1 colorways include the hardest-to-get pairs. After all, everybody knows the rule of supply and demand, and everybody plays by it. Now some of the pairs on this list are pretty exclusive, but the others were public releases! If you think your kicks belong on this list, read on to see if they do.
First off, we wanna talk about the pairs that were the most exclusive and with the highest resale value! Mind you, we excluded the friends and family pairs, and the pairs that didn’t drop yet. So, our top three pairs on the list of best Jordan 1 drops are:
The pair that made such a bang on drop day. People didn’t appreciate not getting the chance to own a pair. Bots almost ate all the stock, and manual coppers weren’t impressed. You can find the whole debate right here. In the meantime, the kicks resell for a whopping $3,288!
Another very controversial pair of Js. When these babies dropped a whole scandal blew up. Resellers took over the pairs by backdooring them and raising the prices. And with an average resale value of $2,675, can we blame people for getting angry? If you wanna know more about what went down, check this out.
This is arguably one of the best Jordan 1 low pairs of 2021 and generally. It’s a pretty awesome collab and features a pretty impressive colorway. The same outrage of the high-top followed these babies, do we need to say more? You can find this pair on the resale market for $1,355 on average! That’s a pretty impressive number for a low-top Jordan 1.
Leave it to Nike and Jordan Brand to give tribute to different cultures. And in 2021, JB celebrated the Chinese New Year with a very nice pair of Jordan 1 Lows. The pair came in an amazing Bred-inspired colorway, with details that nod to the Chinese culture. You can find the pair on the aftermarket for $521 on average. It’s also worth the mention that low-tops really made an impression on everyone this year.
Oh, how we love it when Jordan Brand brings back OGs from the 80s! Despite the very simple white and grey palette, the Neutral Greys are some of 2021’s best Jordan 1 colorways. You see, simplicity always wins! Today, the pair is worth $475 on average, but bear in mind that these babies retailed for $200. That’s the price you pay for an OG pair that retailed for the first time in 30+ years.
We all know how new colorways don’t usually get the welcome that OG colorways get. However, Jordan 1 University Blue had a fantastic connection to MJ’s alma mater, and you can’t hate on that. That made the colorway almost as valuable as a Retro! Today, you can get your own pair for $427 on average.
A very spring-worthy pair that dropped in April 2021. The colorway was a real success on drop day because everyone was trying to cop a pair. If you’re not into colorways that are in your face, this was the pair for you. And if you managed to cop multiples, then your reselling game is pretty good! The Hyper Royals are worth an average of $403 on the aftermarket today.
Okay, but you gotta hear us out here. This is the first pair of newer AJ1 designs that makes it to the list of best Jordan 1 releases! But it kinda has to do with the fact that the football club Paris Saint Germain co-signs this pair. And the great colorway. You can find these babies on the resale market for $265. It ain’t much, but it’s something!
The only women’s exclusive that made it to the list. Sad, but true! We had so many women’s pairs that are worth talking about. However, that’s the only AJ1 in 2021 worth the discussion according to numbers. The kicks resell for about $261 on the resale market.
Last, but not least, the famous Shadow 1s came back in 2021 with a twist! Usually, sneakerheads don’t really like new takes on classics. This one definitely takes our stamp of approval. And that’s probably due to the fact that JB didn’t overdo it with this pair. You can find the kicks on the aftermarket for $251 on average!
Now that you saw the best Jordan 1 colorways of the year (so far), you gotta get ready for new drops. And because we don’t want you to miss any awesome drops, here’s where you can buy Jordans for retail… and resale! Life pro tip: If you really want the Js, you’re gonna have to boost your botting game. So you gotta find the best sneaker bot to get your game going, and NSB can do that for you! If you’re new to the game though, get to know NSB here, and find out how it works too! Godspeed 🔥
