So 2022 was big on sneakers and events, and 2023 seems to be loaded! And today we’re gonna check out one of this year’s releases that are appealing to sneakerheads and music fans alike. Anyway, Bad Bunny had a huge 2022 being the most-streamed artist on Spotify, for the third year in a row. Call it a musical hat trick or a three-peat, he certainly is more than an artist for his fans. And well, he managed to break into the sneaker industry with his Adidas partnership. This is why the new Bad Bunny Adidas Campus should be on your sneaker shopping list! Let’s check this collab out together, shall we?
Before we get to the collab, we need to satisfy our curiosity about the kicks. You know, nothing beats some deep sneaker knowledge as a sneakerhead. So, the Adidas Campus is a tale as old as time… just kidding. The kicks date back to 1972 when they went under the name Adidas Tournament. And then, the silhouette came in a new edition and a new name in the 1980s: Adidas Campus. Now, these babies are not visually unique, since many other silhouettes are pretty similar. But aren’t many of the 80s kicks like that? If you wanna read the full history of the kicks, check this out!
First off, although we really liked the Bad Bunny Forums, we’re glad the partnership move on from them. And let’s be real here, the Campus isn’t a very edgy change, but we’ll take it. The new Bad Bunny Campus features some cool additions to the OG silhouette. For example, we have double tongues and heels, with an extra overlay on the mudguard and heel. All of that is in addition to the hairy suede as a base material.
Now, you’d think that all of this would be too much for one shoe. However, it doesn’t feel like it since the kicks will be monochromatic all-cream! So all-in-all, we consider this a successful collab. Of course, the packaging will match the colorway and will include a shoe bag and extra laces!
The Bad Bunny Adidas Campus made its first cameo three months ago in Benito’s “El Apagón” music video. However, now we have an actual release date! The kicks will drop on January 28, 2023, and will retail for $150. And besides their awesome looks, these babies are worth $530 on average in resale, aka good profit! So, make sure you’re ready to snag the kicks when they drop on the Confirmed App and at select retailers.
Although Adidas lost a lot of its traction since they dropped Ye, some collabs are still worth copping. And the new Bad Bunny release is one of those whether you’re a sneakerhead or a fan! So make sure you have your sneaker bot running because, with a value like that, there will be many trying to hit. If you don’t have a sneaker bot yet, here’s a list of the best on the market! Just make sure you check this guide out before you start running. And who knows? You might just make it in the industry and build your own sneaker collection! Godspeed
