Jordan Brand have got a lot up their sleeves this year, bringing famous samples and colorways to life. They did it with the Derek Jeter 11 low, and now they’re doing it again with the Air Jordan 11 Prom Night. And we should be expecting those at the end of May.
A sample version of the Prom Night 11 was first spotted on eBay in 2011. It was immediately sold for 11,000 USD shortly after it was posted online. That’s a pretty symbolic year and price, don’t you think?
Back then, the black on black, colorway was just referred to as the Blackout 11. Years later, as we get more information, we find out that it’s been given an official name: the Air Jordan 11 Prom Night.
The Air Jordan 11 Prom Night is almost completely black aside from subtle hints of grey and its clear or translucent outer sole. Atop of the icy sole, is the upper which consists of various materials including black suede to give it a premium look. To complement the premium look, the sought-after shoe will come in special slide out packaging as well.
The Prom Nights are due to release on Saturday, May 26, 2018. According to previous rumors, the retail price was $250. However, thanks to official information, the Air Jordan 11 Prom Night will be retailing at $220.
But copping these sweet babes ain’t gonna be an easy feat. According to sneaker leaker @Pinoe77, there are around 50,000 pairs dropping ONLY. Hence, the Air Jordan 11 Prom Night is LIMITED.
The Air Jordan sample that sold for $11,000 is officially dropping this year. Details below:
That can only say so much for the resellers out there. Wanna make money from the high price premium? Then don’t sleep on this release. Or wanna just flex a dope limited shoe, you know what to do.
