With the sneaker industry getting bigger and bigger, competition is growing as fast as ever! New names in the sneaker world are starting to steal the spotlight like LeBron James, Travis Scott and many more. However, Jordans were always in the competition and very often leading the race. And the Air Jordan 1 Retro High ‘85 is proof of that! Let’s take a look at the upcoming colorway and its release details.
The new Air Jordan 1 Retro is a play on the “Bred” colorway. The OG upper is mainly black with a red toe box, swoosh, and ankle area. However, the new Air Jordan 1 Retro Hi features a black toebox and underlay while the overlays and swoosh all don the “Varsity Red” shade!
The silhouette is as close to the OGs as they could get, and they will be coming in retro packaging and an OG hangtag! The famous OG hangtag features Michael Jordan with the Chicago Skyline in the background.
February 8, 2020, is a date every sneakerhead should mark on their calendars! The Air Jordan 1 Retro is dropping – along with many other kicks – on that day! They will retail for $200, which is more expensive than your usual AJ1s, but no one’s complaining! However, the average resale value is currently $797. This value could change after the release, but could also get higher since Jordan Brand is only releasing 23,000 pairs of the Air Jordan 1 Retro ‘85.
Yes. It’s totally worth the cop and could easily make you double its retail price! Another pair of sneakers that could make you a small fortune is also dropping in February. That would be the Travis Scott Nike SB Dunks. But if you really want both of these kicks, you need NSB by your side. 2019 was a great year, and 2020 will be even better!
