This 4/20 Adidas Campus 80s Is High Fashion *Wink Wink*

Ahhh April! The second month of Spring is when so many cool things go down. Flowers blooming, Easter holidays, and 4/20! And for sneakerheads, you know damn well that 4//20 is the most important event. Why? Because that’s when the coolest sneakers usually drop. And this year, Adidas Campus is upping its sneaker game with this celebratory release. Here’s everything you should know about the Adidas Campus 80s Croptober!

What’s 4/20?

If you’re not familiar with 4/20, it’s simply the highest day of the year! It’s the day on which people celebrate marijuana. But how did this event start? Well, there are multiple possible explanations that you can check out here, but we’ll share our favorite now! Legend has it that a group of teenagers started a ritual of smoking marijuana every day at 4:20. In fact, after so much speculation, some people came out with documents to prove the 420 story! And today, 420 is a legit word in the Oxford dictionary… go figure.

This Ain’t the First Rodeo for the Adidas Campus 80s

You’re probably already familiar with Nike SB’s previous 420 tributes, and if you’re not, it’s okay. The SB division took 420 to a whole new level with all the hot releases they dropped almost yearly. You can check them all out right here. However, Adidas often goes under the radar when it comes to such releases. So, before we get into 2023’s 420 release, we’d like to take a look at a previous drop!

If you watch South Park, then you definitely know the weed-smoking Towelie. Naturally, Adidas dropped a pair in his honor on April 20, 2021. The upper as you would expect comes in towel-ish purple material. And you could find Towelie’s eyes on the tongue, but catch this. The eyes turn bloodshot once you expose them to UV light (or just sunlight). These babies are worth $140 on average in resale!

Adidas Campus 80s Croptober 420

This year, the brand with the three stripes is even bolder! The upcoming 420 Adidas Campus 80s looks pretty mid at first glance. However, if you inspect it closely, you’ll see the masterful work! The upper features rolling paper on the upper, and we’re not even joking. However, this layer is tearable, and beneath it, we have a shaggy green suede upper. And you definitely know what this is in reference to. Finally, the inside of the kicks features a trippy tie-dye pattern. So all in all, these joints look high… pun intended.

You can expect the kicks to drop on April 20, 2023, and retail for $110. And whether you’re copping to style the kicks or to add them to your collection, they’re must-haves. Moreover, a $200 average resale value isn’t too shabby if you know where to flip your kicks. But if you wanna cop these kicks, or any other kicks, in bulk, you’ll need a good sneaker bot. And the upcoming NSB3 is the all-in-one bot you need. Wanna know more? Check this out! Godspeed
