The 5 Best Adidas Yeezy Boost 350

Kanye has proven to be quite the sneaker designer since the Adidas x Yeezy collaboration which started the beginning of December 2013. The first Adidas Yeezy boost 350 was released on the 27th of June, 2015. The design featured a grey and white colorway called “Turtle Dove”.

The Adidas Yeezy boost 350 collection has been a very distinctive and successful silhouette. Not to mention the characteristics which make the quality and good reviews totally live up to the hype.

Thanks to the:

  • Sleek design of the finely crafted knitted exterior with various colors weaving in and out to give the Yeezys an unmistakable design.
  • Insanely comfortable Boost sole and cozy Primeknit upper. It’s lightweight and ultra soft interior padding and trademark cushioned innersoles make it feel like you’re walking on a cloud.
  • Stylish sense of innovative materials which create an aura of quality that has pushed Adidas to the forefront of innovation.

There are two styles for the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 sneakers so far: The original Boost 350s and the Boost 350s V2. The main difference is that the V2s have “SPLY 350” written along the side of each sneaker.

Out of all the Adidas Yeezy boosts out there, here are the 5 best Adidas Yeezy Boost sneakers of all time.

The ranking, as shown in the tables below, is a cumulative rank of the Adidas Yeezy boost’s design, average price increase compared to the original price according to StockX, and its availability in the sneakers market. The opinion of a person who is well-versed in the world of Kanye West-designed sneakers and part of the biggest Kanye-dedicated group on Facebook, Vivian Frank, was taken into account for the overall ranking of each Adidas Yeezy boost 350.

The overall ranking of the 5 best Adidas Yeezy Boost 350s is as follows:

  1. Adidas Yeezy boost 350 “Turtle Dove”, Release Date: 27th June 2015
  2. Adidas Yeezy boost 350 v2 “Red”, Release Date: 23rd November 2016
  3. Adidas Yeezy boost 350 “Pirate Black”, Release Date: 22nd August 2015
  4. Adidas Yeezy boost 350 v2 “Beluga”, Release Date: 25th November 2017
  5. Adidas Yeezy boost 350 v2 “Zebra”, Release Date: 25th February 2017

Adidas Yeezy boost 350 “Turtledove”

Rating

Design

Colorway: Turtle/Blugra/Cwhite

The Turtle Dove is more than likely to be the most iconic of all the Yeezy 350 styles. The upper sole has a pattern that is unique to this specific release and is an overall fantastically popular colorway. The only negative aspect of this shoe is the shoe size. Most fans reported that its sizing was not true-to-size and that they needed to order as much as a size larger. The design of this Yeezy Boost 350 was about to change everyone’s mind about what a ‘cool sneaker’ was.

Price

Original Price: $200 Average Resale Price: $1730 % Increase From the Original Price: 700%

5/5

Market Scarcity

The high resale price can be the reason behind the low number of sold ones (7) in the StockX market. So they are considered one of the rarest Yeezy 350s.

5/5

Vivian Frank’s Opinion

“For me, the “Turtle Dove” colorway is the best 350, also the cleanest on feet, and versatile with many outfits, unlike some of the other 350s. Also, they’re one of the least common YEEZYs to see around.”

Adidas Yeezy boost 350 v2 “Red”

Rating

Design

Colorway: Core Black/Red/Core Black

Bringing hot lava vibes, these come with a core black upper and sole. This colorway of the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 features a Black Primeknit upper with a Bright Red stripe placed on the lateral side of the shoe which reads “SPLY-350.” Additional hits of bright red have been placed throughout the Primeknit upper while the look is finished off with a black Boost midsole and black rubber outsole. It’s been said that this Yeezy is hotter than the earth’s core.

These Yeezys are considered deadstock, having only 130 of these Yeezys sold on StockX.

3.5/5

Vivian Frank’s Opinion

“My favorite out of the 350 V2s, I personally think the colorway really pops, and an all-black shoe with contrasting red Swoosh makes them look really nice on foot.”

Adidas Yeezy boost 350 “Pirate Black”

Rating

Design

Colorway: Black/Grey

These triple black kicks are very functional in regards to maximum wearability with multiple fits. Aesthetically speaking, more toned down than the Turtle Dove colorway. The result is a sneaker that combines comfort and style flawlessly. These were practically glued to Kim K’s feet for the best part of a year.

Market Scarcity

Although this colorway saw a restock in 2016 with improvements in the heel padding, its somewhat high resale price makes it rare in the sneaker market with only 57 pairs sold on StockX.

4/5

Vivian Frank’s Opinion

“Again, all black, you can’t go wrong. Easy to wear but the only reason I didn’t rank them above the “Turtle Dove” is that you can mistake them for all black Roshe.”

Adidas Yeezy boost 350 v2 “Beluga”

Rating

Design

Colorway: Steel Grey/Beluga/Solar Red

Adidas and West created this second version of the “Beluga” and improved every element from the first model. This design adds a bold twist to Kanye’s design with a bright orange (officially Solar Red) stripe across the Steel Grey/Beluga zebra-striped upper. This colorway of the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 is the first of the 2nd version colorways that release in 2016 reworks the sneaker by swapping out the grey hue for a more silvery tone and reversing the colors of the stripe.

It was very limited in quantity, but not as limited or rare as some of the other Boost models. The number of Belugas sold on StockX is 199.

3/5

Vivian Frank’s Opinion

“The “Beluga” V2 is very nice, and it was a different colorway at the time, compared to the versions that had been released previously. Because they’re different, I rank them higher than the rest of the V2s, as the rest is quite similar.”

Adidas Yeezy boost 350 v2 “Zebra”

Rating

Design

Colorway: White/Core Black/Red

Perhaps the most quintessential Yeezy sneaker ever, the Zebra Yeezy 350 has a place on every serious sneakerhead’s shoe rack. It has the most sophisticated designs of all the Yeezy’s. Its white and black stripes give it a crisp and eye-catching silhouette. The biggest flaw of this shoe is its translucent gel sole, which features a white-to-yellow color transition on the back. Some Yeezy fans weren’t happy with this look since it makes the shoe look slightly less than impeccable.

4/5

Price

Original Price: $220 Average Resale Price: $332 % Increase From the Original Price: 77%

1/5

Market Scarcity

They were the most limited Yeezys ever made. But they’re not incredibly hard to get your hands on kicks anymore. The number of sold Zebras on stock only is 3541. Their low rarity can be explained by the re-stock and their low resale price.

2.5/5

Vivian Frank’s Opinion

“I would have had the “Zebra” version over the “Red” V2, but after the restock it ruined the shoe, as I see nearly everyone wears them. They are still super clean, and it’s a nice colorway, but it’s too common now.”
